WTF! Christians attack on Buddism

October 28, 2010

There was a religious terror, yes it was a terror on my perspective, on a Buddhist temple, Bongeun-sa (봉은사), in the Gangnam area of Seoul.  A Group of students from the Church Equipping Worship School (찬양인도자학교) recently went to Bongeun-sa praying for the treading down of a temple.

“This place will be demolished and God will win it back….Useless idols here made me really sad,” a twisted-religious cult said in the clip.

Reverend Choi Ji-ho leads those students from the Church Equipping Worship School to Bongeun-sa to make formal apology on Oct. 27. I doubt it was a sincere apology from their heart.  Nor this attack would stop these insane religious cult people doing same disrespectful attack on Buddhism or any other religions.   News are popping up that this kind of religious attack also been practiced in Dongwha-sa as well as in a temple in Myanmar.

Are they really believe in Jesus? Or their Jesus is different from mine?  Okay, so maybe not Jesus, Jesus probably pretty swamped with all other stuffs.   Religion starts from comprehension and appreciation of others, you idiots.

The Ambassador “Biggest Dick!?” rejected from Saudi Arabia

February 4, 2010

According to FP, A distinguished Pakistani diplomat, Akbar Zeb, could not receive accreditation as Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Not because of his credentials but because of his name which translates to “Biggest dick” in Arabic: Direct from FP,

“In Saudi Arabia, size does count.

A high level Pakistani diplomat has been rejected as Ambassador of Saudi Arabia because his name, Akbar Zib, equates to “Biggest Dick” in Arabic. Saudi officials, apparently overwhelmed by the idea of the name, put their foot down and gave the idea of his being posted there, the kibosh.”

Oh, man! Who can he blame? It’s all because of we “Mankind” decided to build the Tower of Babel.

Praying for Haiti

January 20, 2010

It’s been a week after a massive 7.0-magnitude earthquake has struck the Caribbean nation of Haiti

The extent of the devastation is still unclear but there are fears thousands of people may have died. Local and foreign authorities even estimated that up to 200,000 people might have died, with even more injured and 1.5 million  homeless.

Reports saying, despite the arrival of thousands of foreign troops and aid, Haitian still can’t get enough food and water to the hungry and thirsty one week after an earthquake shattered Haiti’s capital. Reports are also saying that the airport remains a bottleneck, the port is a shambles. The Haitian government is invisible, nobody has taken firm charge, and the police have largely given up. As days go by, there are fears and violence unrest may become widespread and the looters who are starting to attack for anything they can get their hands on.

Nevertheless, International Search and Rescue Teams are still working hard through the capital city Port-au-Prince to rescue victims trapped under piles of concrete and debris even though time is running out for those buried by the quake.

At this moment, millions people around the world would praying for “little miracle“.   One small miracle at a time, gives many Haitian hope.

Let’s keep praying for Haiti!  And there are many different ways to make a donation to various organizations helping Haitian like Canadian Red Cross. I did it by planning to cut my expenses and it would be painless. Just say sorry to Starbucks! I will drink three to five less cups of Tall Americano per week. What would be your plan?

<Updates>

This morning, Strongest aftershock hits Haiti, collapsing buildings, sending screaming people in the streets. The magnitude-5.9 jolt matched the strongest of the aftershocks that have followed the huge quake of Jan. 12 that devastated Haiti’s capital. Details…

So long DJ!

August 23, 2009

Tens of thousands of mourners gathered Sunday for the funeral of the late former President Kim Dae-jung (1924-2009) to pay a final tribute to the iconic statesman…The former president pioneered the South’s “Sunshine Policy” of engagement with the North and he spent his life pursuing democracy and reunification. (Read rest of article here)

His life was a series of improbable escapes from assassination attempts, a death sentence, and long periods in prison and in exile, before he was recognised as one of Asia’s all-time champions of democracy.

For sure, Kim Dae-Jung was a great statesmen and a leader for Korean.  My sincere respect for not giving up his conviction for freedom and contribute on progress of inter-Korean cooperation.  However, his Sunshine policy did not help any human right issues in N. Korea at all.  And despite billions of dollars of aid and goodwill gestures, N. Korean leader Kim Jong-Il never gave up his nuclear ambition.

My condolences to all of DJ’s family and his followers.  Farewell and RIP, DJ!
