Today, I can’t resist to rip this cartoon from english Hankyoreh as it sums up current political games in Korea.

The “reorganization of the political landscape,” doublespeak for “have the ruling camp organize itself into a new and different political structure,” isn’t moving forward as planned.
Grand National Party member and former Gyeonggi province governor Sohn Hak-kyu recently said that the “Sunshine Policy” of engagement with North Korea must be continued by the next government. Some might see that as a hint that he would like to do the driving – for the ruling camp, that is – since in recent opinion polls he is actually named as the ruling camp’s best possible presidential candidate. Here we see him pass out advertisements for “proxy drivers,” people who will drive your car home for you when you are otherwise incapacitated, like when you’ve had too much to drink.
President Roh Moo-hyun is not impressed. “No, thank you very much,” he says.

And this week’s TGIF theme song goes to Ice Cream” by MC Mong.
